Hybrid Electric Aircraft Testbed (HEAT) Presentation and Tour
(Zoom Presentation)
The Hybrid Electric Aircraft Testbed (HEAT) is a Cessna 337 Skymaster with the aft piston engine replaced by an equivalent power/thrust Electric Propulsion System (EPS). Members of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) team who carried it out will present the project and show the aircraft in the Flight Research Laboratory (FRL) hangar.

6:00 – 6:30 pm: Hangar meet and greet; pizza and drinks will be served 6:30 – 7:00 pm: Presentation 7:00 – 8:00 pm: HEAT aircraft tour followed by Q&A

In-Person Registration Instructions and Information
In-person registration is limited.
Registration is either for in-person or via Zoom, but not both.
Please RSVP no later than noon on Friday, October 14th and provide the following information:
Only those persons whose information is provided will be permitted to enter the building.
No photography will be permitted in the building.

Based on the guidance from Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada, the NRC requires everyone entering its buildings to wear an NRC-supplied mask at all times in indoor shared spaces.
Masks can be removed when sitting or standing at your workspace when 2-metre physical distancing can be respected and when eating or drinking. Employees and visitors attending a meeting in a conference room may remove their masks when speaking, if physically distanced and identified room capacity limits are respected.
Masks are provided at the building entrance.
