Meeting Details:
Library shelves are full of journals that explore every corner of aerospace technology from structures to avionics, control systems to artificial intelligence. However, while there is no shortage of innovation and advancement in academic publications, the aerospace sector often struggles to adopt new technologies, stifling innovation, and limiting new commercial opportunities. This talk will study this problem, colloquially known as the “Valley of Death” between academic research and industrial technology adoption, suggesting new pathways that may invigorate the aerospace sector in Canada.
