The Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP) and
The Flight Test and Flight Operations Section of CASI
The Second Annual SETP Canadian Section Flight Test Symposium
Ottawa, 18 June 2020
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The Canadian Members of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP) and the Flight Test and Flight Operations (FT & FO) section of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI) will convene the Second Annual Canadian Flight Test Symposium on Thursday 18 June 2020 at the Holiday Inn & Suites, Ottawa-Kanata. This will mark the first time SETP and CASI have joined forces to provide a more expansive group to bring flight test and aviation professionals together in Canada.
The purpose of this one-day Flight Test Symposium is to share the knowledge gained in the course of planning, execution and documentation of flight test activities. The intent of the symposium is to help prevent re-learning of hard lessons through cross pollination of the ideas and discoveries from our seemingly different, yet similar and related areas of flight test. We will solicit presentations and attendance from both members (CASI and SETP) and non-members. SETP will provide a single call for papers and registration process, which will provide a single email for all abstracts, as well as a single website for all registrations.
Each technical presentation is given a 30-minute slot, which includes time for any questions/discussion from the audience. No proceedings will be published for this symposium, therefore formal written papers are not required. However, those wishing to submit a paper for publication in an upcoming edition of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Journal are invited to indicate their intention to do so.
Those interested in presenting for SETP or CASI should submit an abstract (indicating for which organization) by 15 April 2020 to:
ATTN: Chairman, Perry Comeau (AF), National Research Council Canada
C/O SETP Headquarters - Email: Tammy@setp.org
