Dr. Giroux has worked for this business unit since 1991, at the time when ABB’s space activities were just starting and he has since then been a key leader of ABB’s development in the space business. His experience at ABB spans business, management and engineering aspects of optical instrumentation for remote sensing and Earth observation.

Dr. Giroux obtained a Bachelor degree in Physics in 1981 at Laval University in Quebec City. He did his Masters and PhD in Instrumentation for Nuclear Physics also at Laval University, followed by a Post‐doc at the Max‐Planck‐Institute in Heidelberg, Germany, under an NSERC (Canada) fellowship. Through his career, Dr. Giroux participated on several research and industrial committees related to the fields of space, optics, and remote sensing and Earth observation.

Please plan to attend to hear about new opportunities in space and business, and CASI’s role in the community. A great networking opportunity!
