Business jets allow for fast, efficient travel by individuals and corporations for whom time is the most precious commodity. The design requirements for business jet engines differ significantly from the requirements of their commercial jet counterparts. Prof. Saravanamuttoo’s talk will trace the historical evolution of the turbofan for business jet applications from the Lockheed Jetstar to the Bombardier Global 7500 and the Gulfstream 500/600 with a focus on key design parameters such as thrust, weight, bypass ratio, overall pressure ratio and specific fuel consumption.
Please note that this event is free of charge, however the Clocktower Brew Pub would appreciate the patronage of our members and guests.
