CASI Ottawa Branch members are invited to attend a tour and presentation of the newly commissioned Centre for Air Travel Research, part of the NRC Aerospace Research Centre located on the NRC Uplands campus at the Ottawa Airport. Members will have the chance to view the new facility and learn about ongoing and planned research projects.
Attendance is limited so preference will be given to CASI members but non-members and students are also invited to attend. For NRC Security reasons, all those planning to attend are asked to respond to this message providing name, citizenship information and CASI membership status by April 5th. Anyone not holding Canadian citizenship must also provide date of birth.
Attendees will be admitted to the building at 6 pm, the tour will start at 6:15 and will wrap up by 8 pm.
Location is building U-72 at 1920 Research Private at the Ottawa MacDonald Cartier International Airport. Those wishing to attend can arrive by car and park for free in the parking lot in front of building U-61, the NRC Flight Research Laboratory. If coming by bus, the 197 operates from Greenboro station once or twice per hour depending upon time of day. Otherwise, take the 97 to the airport terminal and walk as indicated in the map.
Thanks to NRC and Malcolm Imray for this wonderful opportunity.
You must RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org with information requested above and your member status (join now if you want to guarantee a spot!)
